Advocacy & Education

AWW&WEA provides a range of ongoing resources — including scholarships, leadership programs, and connections to key partner agencies such as the Arkansas Department of Health and ADEQ — ensuring members have continual access to the knowledge, support, and collaboration needed to advance both their careers and the state’s water resources.

Each year, AWW&WEA hosts the Arkansas Water Conference, the state’s premier event for professionals involved in the design, management, operation, and control of water and wastewater systems. The conference delivers leading-edge education, hands-on training, and valuable networking opportunities that span every aspect of the industry.

our charitable cause: water for people

Water For People is the largest nonprofit, scientific and educational association dedicated to managing and treating water.  The organization began out of the American Water Works Association in 1991 with a vision to see a world where every person has access to reliable and save water and sanitation services; and a mission to promote the development of high-quality drinking water and sanitation services, accessible to all, and sustained by strong communities, business and governments.  Water For People is the charity of choice for the Arkansas Water Works & Water Environment Association.
